plasti dip questions.

ive been seeing a lot of threads about people plasti dipping things and I love the look. I want to do some of these things. I cant seem to find it anywhere in my town though. butte, Montana doesn't have much shopping. what type of store do I find it? what section? perhaps im looking in the wrong place. what sort of pricing can I expect? I want to start modding my jeep with this type of thing. please please! the people in this forum have helped me soooo much I could use a little more help. thank you all.

this explains why I cant find it our car quest and Napa stores SUCK! and the only others on that list in town are special order retailers. I'll have to pick some up when im in Helena or great falls this weekend then. about how much can one can cover? im planning to do fender flares, rocker panels, and the chrome around my headlights first, thank you all.

in butte we don't have home depot or Lowe's. we have an Ace and a Do it Best but they suck. as do the rest of the stores here. ill be in Helena tomorrow ill drop into their home depot. which department would I find it in? how much can one can cover? I want to make sure I don't get halfway through my project and run out.

I did 11 coats on my rims ( all 5 of them ) 2 coats on my flares and both bumpers . It took 3 cans to do it all . Home Depot or lowes sells it. If you go to lowes you can get 10% off if you stop by the post office and get a change of address packet.

check the website.....they'll have all the info you need regarding how to plasti dip, amount needed, coats needed, time to dry, etc

Plastidip peals off in a matter of time. Undercoat or bed liner is more permanent.

ok but it being more permanent, it wont peel off say fender flares if I don't like it.

I just did some plasti dip stuff yesterday and today. I bought 2 cans at home depot (mixed in with the spray paint). The pic is kinda hard to see what i did, but a did the center of the hood and the light bezels.
The cans are about $6 each. Since I taped off the hood to spray it, I had to run a razor blade along the seam to make sure pulling the tape up didn't pull up the plasti dip as well.
