Plastic Body Armor

Well that moron in the Lexus' insurance company is being gay. If I manage to not get them to pay for my damage, I am gonna have to skip on paying to get teh body work done.

I want to put some of those Bushwhacker plastic front fender covers on to cover the paint blemishes, But I can fix the body damage myself. Has anyone used these things before? Do they stay on well with just that 3M sticky tape? Do they last long?

Any help greatly appreciated....

I think you should sue... Your neck look awful! It's all swollen and your can't sleep.

Just keep pestering them, their job is to keep from paying you.

As far as those things, never used them.

Yeah. Some ass monkey in a Lexus hit him and I've been telling him for over a week now to take action! I don't like people getting screwed by others when they are douche bags. I'm the type of person that will wait for the police to give a statement so justice can be served. I got mess up on my bike and nothing happened because no one would help me. I got $480 from her insurance to cover my bruised ribs, hurt shoulder, knee, and leg. And the repairs on my bike were a little over $500. I fought but w/o that witness nothing happened.

get an injury lawer's opinion (no offence rip), they usually don't charge for a consol and if they don't win. I should have gotten one when the guy with no insurance and suspended drivers license rear-ended me but just wanted to get it done and over with so they paid me off (screwed me) and me being the unwiser me took the damn money. keep bugging them and don't sign anything till you get the money that YOU want. they will pay just to keep you from leaving them alone.

I was kidding about the injuries. And if you can fix it then take the $ from insurance and buy other stuff. but don't give up on that. I'm sorry I kinda stole your thread...

Tell the man about the plastic!

Good to hear there is no injury. IMO, injury atty's only serve one purpose - to take 30-40% of what the insurance co offers you. The ins co isn't going to offer more just b/c of an atty. They deal with those goofs all day, every day. That only serves to reduce the amt you might otherwise get - money out of your pocket. In your case, good news that you aren't inj'd and don't have to deal with that mess. Sounds like you're in a case of disputed liability since you referenced no witnesses being available. That sucks. Ins co's handle disputed liability cases based on available facts, and each parties "version" of the facts, police report, how traffic laws apply to those given facts, and hopefully witnesses to support your version. They also rely on trial reports and their personal estimation of who a jury would favor should the case go to trial (in theory - but it never would). If you have any ?s about dealing with them or how to argue liability, feel free to send me a PM. Good luck.

and oh yeah, not sure about that platic...

just argue with the insurance company till you get the cash. and if you need a witness I'll only charge 10% but really, get the money and use it for something else on the TJ. go get an estimate and send the bill to the insurance company they should be paying that.

now I don't know what your laws in kentucky but here in oregon if the cost of damage is over $1500 you have to report it to the DMV other than that if you get in a motor vehicle accident then you should report it to the insurance company and they (if the other driver has insurance) should pay you for the damage done to your vehicle. KEEP BUGGING THEM.
