Please help me remove my driver seat

I am currently prepping my 98 TJ tub so i can HERCULINE it in the morning, however i cannot remove my driver seat. The seat will not lean forward enough to reach the 2 rear bolts. I really do not want to apply around it as I have removed everything else in the tub that could be removed.

I already searched WF for an answer but I have found nothing.

1 of the bolts has a nut underneath but the other 1 does not. It makes no sense to me because the passenger seat came out with ease. HELP

just removed mine. it was a PIA, ended up drilling the torx bolt out, to tip the seat up, there is a lever underneath it and when you pull on it, the seat will tip up against the stearing wheel and expose the rear bolts. think the lever is behind the one that allows the seat to go forward and backwards. my new seats are cloth. my old vinyl one didnt have that feature

I just slid mine forward and flip it forward to the wheel, can reach the bolts no problem. Slide it forward and reach Dow the back side of the seat, you will feel the lever to fold it forward.

Yep It's not coming out without me drilling from the bottom so I gave up. I will apply the bed liner around the driver seat, no big deal.

I'll have to do the same ahead of time, still working on getting the rest of what I need. I'm going racing buckets, so need new brackets and adapters to bolt them to the seats, so gonna be a little bit yet. 200$ per seat, 30$ per adapter, 100$ per seat bracket, then another hundred per 5 point harness. Of corse need 2 of everything. I'm workin on it tho, one thing at a time. lol.... thanks for the warning tho

Air ratchet on the torx bolt is an amazing tool...just don't let it hop on the bolt or it'll strip it out. The other bolt on mine snapped off...I ended up drilling it out and then just replaced that bolt with another nut and bolt.

Oh and on my seat, I don't have the fold and tumble driver's seat... sliding it forward and leaning it forward exposes the bolts enough to work on them.

Nope no fold and tumble driver seat for me either, I could not for the life of me find a way to get to the bolts. I just finished applying the first coat of herculiner and I was forced to paint around the driver seat. It made the job a little more difficult but holy crap I cant wait to finish this project. PITA
