Please Help! Need Advice

Ok, i have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ 2.5l 4cylinder. And the bolt head on one of the bolts on the manifold has broken off making it extremely loud. The manifold is not cracked so it does not need replacing. What is the best way of getting the bolt out, the best i have heard so far is using an easy out. Please give me any opinions or advice!

In that super-hot environment, studs can become very difficult to remove. Can you park it a week or so which would give several applications of Liquid Wrench or PB-Blaster some time to work into the threads before you try to extract it with an EZ-Out?

ya maybe. would it be worth it to take it to a specialist or just do it my self? I think i am capable of doing it, i put in my RE 3.5in suspension lift myself with no problems.

Well, I'd attempt it but don't forget you're dealing with the head so be careful.

Not sure if its still on going. But I seem to recall a factory recall for the 2.5 and bolts around that area. You might want to check with the dealership and see. might be able to get it done for free.

Unfortunately i talked to the dealership and they said there is no recall ever issued for this problem, even though it is a well-known and common problem they did not issue one. However they did extend the warranty to cover this. So i asked will the warranty cover this and she replied "sorry but the warranty for that expired in 2005" so i asked her what i should do since it broke after the warranty expired to avoid paying full price if i get i fixed there and she replied "your outta luck" customer service at its finest. guess ill just do it myself. thanks for all your help though!
