Plz help me to decide, design and built my jeep,...

chiming in from germany, first of all let me say hi to you jeep folks.

two weeks ago i bought my first wrangler and could not tell how happy i am!

the beauty is a desert sand 2000 tj sahara 4.0

she is pretty much stock exept for the wheels which are 7x15 excentric chrome rims equipped with 255 / 75 R 15 (a common wheel size overseas - which is pretty close to 31x10.5) this brings us up to my first question.

can you tell by looking at the attached pictures if there is already a lift (bb, suspension or body) installed? (sorry if this sounds dumb but i am an absolutely noob on jeeps)?

i would appreciate any help on "how to mock up the look" of my car. any ideas?

so far plans go to

• install a 2" suspension or bb lift and get some wranglers mtr´s (31x10.5)

• remove those ugly fog lights

• remove side steps

• remove those suuuppperrr ugly european style "milk jugs" and rear dirt catchers

• get some black seat covers (rear seats are removed due to my dog ;-)

• already ordered a "ultimate netting package" from specialtfx.com (need this to let my dog ride with me when tops are off - also like the "bold" look)

• not sure if i should keep the rims? maybe black ones look a little more agressive? what do you think?

What would you think i could do get a overall bolder look with that car? is there anyone out there who ownes the same color and could provide some pictures on how his car looks?

Allthough i really like the color, i feel a little confused on which is the best way to go? leave it this way or spice it up with a few black parts (fender flares and things like that?)
Open to any inspiration,.....

best regards from this side of the planet

Two questions. First, what kind of wheeling do you plan on doing with it if any? And next, how much can you spend?

theres no lift on there. to make it look bigger you need a lift and wider tires and less backspacing on the rims. as ironman said, how much $$$ do you want to spend and what will it be used for. your list of free upgrades will help you out alot. the more of the work that you can diy the better off you will be.

@ all Thx so far,...

i am considering a Rough Country 2.5" Suspension lift (or similar) and get some 8x15 Rock Crawlers equipped with 31x10.5 Wrangler MTR´s

Since i am not into hardcore wheeling (just occasionally am out for hunting & fishing trips and check the horses at the farm)

Another reason for not wanting the jeep to be to high is that it is my daily driver and it won´t fit in germanys narrow parking garages which we have at my office ;-)

The help i am seeking for is more on a design or "looks" basis. Would you trim this car up with more black parts? Flares, guards and other stuff or should i just leave it as is?

Having a hard time deciding if i like the chrome wheels on the desert sand color,... mhhhh?

Cheers

Martin

Just MHO, I would get some Krylon Fusion cans of spray paint and paint the flairs black. The Black rims might look better, especially with mtr's.
Fat Bob's Garage Shopping Cart (click on the 4th one down $59 2" for TJ and ZJ)
that is a great 2" kit (get the bumpstops) I am just not sure if they will ship overseas. However, if you call, they are really nice and helpfull, and will let you know (they may work with you). With the bumpstops it is $79 plus shipping. That may work out to like 60 Euros plus shipping for a small box. Best of luck with your Jeep.

here is a idea if you want. Runa highline kit of some sort then you can run bigger tires without lifting to high.

Welcome to the forum bud.

Nice and clean looking jeep you got your hands on. As far as looks for it go.....that is your choice. Built it for you, not someone else.

Here is a couple of pic's of my desert sand pearlcoat sahara from over the years to give you some different ideas to get your rig to how you want it.

To DISTORTEDTJ

Hey on the first two pics of your Sahara (or before the lift)...Does it have any customization (spacers, lift, suspension, etc.) there on it other than the wheels and tires? Also what size tires and wheels are they there?
