Agree with sending it back (or reselling it if that is not possible). For durability you can have it powder coated, but the cost would probably be more than you paid for it.
No worries, I would recommend getting everything drilled before powder coating it though. You wouldn't have to cut the big holes yet, but at least all the small ones around the perimeter.
Poison Spider charges a $30 difference between bare and powder coated black....
If a person wants black why would you not just order it already powder coated black ??
Maybe I am missing something here.... but it would seem silly to buy it bare only to powder coat it black yourself. Unless a person can powder coat it for less than $30.

For me, I purchased my louver at the offroad expo and only paid $50 for it. The catch was that they only had the bare aluminum left, so I powder coated mine. All in all (after powder coat and everything) I paid $100 total.
I bought mine bare and bed lined it myself so it would match my bed lined grill and fenders. Looks good. Certain paints will not stick to aluminum though so be careful.
I did want the black powder coated one just ordered the wrong one so instead of trying to ship it back I will do it myself.
