Anyone ever done one of these, how did it work out?

I see them all the time on random vehicles, pickups, old cop cars etc...I know they have a good spotlight on them, but the beam appears to be more of a pencil beam than a flood light. I"m not sure if you want to use them as offroad lights or just as a spotlight, but they work good for their purpose.

Ya I've replaced them before on some of our fire trucks and other military vehicles. I've never installed one on a vehicle that didn't have one so I don't know how that would go. They are cool but as deathphoenix said they are just a spot like. You can't use them as a fog light.

i have one at work. Not sure if it's the same brand but mine is a good spotlight. Like others are saying -they're not a great fog light. You can adjust it to stand up on it's own but once you hit certain speeds it will fall over or go backwards.

Personally, I use a handheld. I put 2 bungie cords across my seat brackets and they hold it in place right under the front of the seat where I can grab it and hold out the window if I need to.

Havn't seen one of those on a jeep yet... It is possible with the skinnier arms up the windshield?

Yeah, not looking to use as a fog light, just want to use it as it is intended; to spot up house numbers, signs, critters, and anything else of interest that's off to the side of the Jeep. Also think it might look pretty cool on the Jeep.
