Possibly adding A/C

So I have a TJ with A/C and one without, was wondering how hard it would be to switch the entire A/C system between the two jeeps but still leave the other jeep with heat and air just no A/C. Has anyone done this or added a/c to their jeeps? Also does anyone have a link to an A/C system diagram so I dont leave something behind that needs to be switched?

Doing the factory A/C swap is A LOT of work, the heater box has to come out in addition to lines behind the dash.
I would suggest finding a good hot rod shop or web site and take a look at the after market A/C setups for hot rods.

Thanks that is what I was looking for, doesnt seem worth the effort since when it is hot I prefer the windows down or top off anyway.

You could swap bodies, then it's just a matter of adding the compressor, hoses and condensor

I think that would be easier than swapping just the A/C setup.

The complete kit can be bought through jeepair.com. They sell kits that are complete with factory dash controls. However it is an involved process. If you are going to do this it is well worth taking it to your mechanic to have it installed, unless your Jeep is just a weekend toy and you feel like taking apart your dash.
