Powder Coating?

So I got my new tube fenders in the mail and I am trying to decide if I should drop $80 on powder-coating them or if I should just spray paint them and that way I can easily touch them up if scratched. Any suggestions or experiences with powder coating?

Powder coat! You won't regret it. I powder coated my bumper still have yet to get chips in it.

I've had bad luck with powder coating. I've had two sets of rocker rails and a rear bumper powder coated and they rust. I live near the ocean so that doesn't help but it seems that the rust gets underneath the coating and it bubbles up, cracks, flakes off.

I will never get anything powder coated again. I'd just paint it. I usually wind up painting over the powdercoating anyway in an attempt to hold off the rust.

I have my own powdercoating system here near champaign illinois, i usually do both. I powdercoat, then bedline over it. Makes a super strong coating that will never rust. And if you scratch it, it doesn't hit bare metal causing rust
