Power to ignition "kill" switch

I am looking to install a "kill" switch that will enable me to cut the power off to my ignition/ key switch. Does anyone know the amps/ watts that the switch would need to be and what type of wire i would need to run to locate this switch? Any other advice would also be appreciated.

Or you could do it the same way they do it with race cars and such which is much easier. How to Install a Race Car Emergency Kill Switch

The link I posted is very easy and better as it disable many functions. I installed the basic ADS interface and you don't need to do the magnetic switch. I chose to install a simple switch. All you need to do is cut one wire.

If you have a manual trans you can do what i did. What happened was that the nutral safty switch on the clutch pedal broke. So instead of buying a $90+ piece, i cut the wires right before the male and female connections after the saftey switch. I connected some longer wire and routed it into the glove box. I then attached a switch to the two wires. When the switch is up, the jeep will start, even without putting in the clutch. You wont be able to start it when the switch is down. So flip it down and lock your glove box for some added security. Only cost me a few bucks for the wire and switch. Send me a message if you want some pics.

If installing a simple toggle type switch instead of the magnetic switch do you just flip it up temporarily after turning the key to the "on" position? Or does the switch say up until you're ready to disable it again?

No key involved. If you break the ADS circuit, it will disable the engine or shut it off if running.

Any idea which wire the ADE would be installed on in a 1993 YJ? A friend of mine wants one in his Jeep also but the wiring diagrams I have found for the YJ are a bit different and I am having some trouble locating the wire.
