prep for drop down tailgate.

ok, so i decided to take care of some surface rust and I just ordered the drop down tailgate kit from swag off road. yes, it was a little more than i wanted to spend but its all there for me so... well, if i finally figured out this ridiculously long upload process there will be some pictures too...

wow, it worked.... i had to post it before i kept going... ok, back to work getting more pics up..

after some sanding with a wire wheel and some 120grit paper

I am going to use rustolium bedliner all the way up to this body seam. should look like i have trail armor on it for only 7 bucks...

and as you can see i removed the hardtop because i'm also going to bedline the tub rail too.

oh yea, check out this nice hole i found while taking everything out to get ready for the bed liner. looks like i will be taking a trip to the body shop.

I ordered it yesterday, should be here sometime next week... I will post detailed pictures of the install...

No swing out... I'm going to jinx myself but I have only had one flat in 125k miles on this jeep over the last 10 years and that was on the trail... I carry a can or two of fix a flat for now.. I will prob get one eventually but it isn't very hi on my list.
