The gas tank skid plate from my 97 rotted out pretty bad up here in Ohio. I decided that I just needed an OEM skid plate, which I picked up one of the newer models from a 2003-2006 for $88(new) from the dealership. (newer skid plate was much thicker steel)
I was curious to think maybe I should do something with the skid before I install it. It already had a black paint job to it, but I was thinking about using the rustoleum spray on bed liner for that extra protection.
Should I bed line the whole skid? Maybe just the bottom? Does anyone recommend drilling any additional holes for drainage?
Let me know if you have any other ideas. I plan to do it this weekend.
Thanks
