Yes. I have the same tire, 35's also. Just don't gun it with the steering turned sharply!

I air down to 4-5 psi all the time in snow and sand, and run about 8 psi on the trails.

I doubt you could get away with only 5 lbs. for very long without beadlock wheels. What width is your wheel & what tire size are you running?

All depends on how you ride it in the sand... 5lbs however seems a bit TOO low without beadlocks but I wouldn't go runnin' the dunes full throttle and sharp turns. In any of my vehicles when going in the dunes, I've always aired down to around 8-10lbs and I could go just about anywhere.

Going under 10psi without bead locks is pushing your luck, make sure you have a good jack and onboard air available.
BTW, Un-beading a tire at speed can be pretty damn exciting make sure someone gets video!

That's a good wheel width that helps you to be able to run about as low of an air pressure as can be done without beadlocks. I regularly aired down to 7-8 psi with that very same combination but it also burped air quite a bit too, so it was right on the edge of losing the bead. I had to add air on the trail once in a while due to that so I can't recommend it. I definitely wouldn't go below that where bead lock wheels would definitely be needed.
