pro comp lift

Ok, so I found a 2 inch pro comp lift on craigslist for a great price and was wondering if it would be better than going with the spacers. Are the springs good quality? It comes with the shocks, but I've heard that they aren't that great, so I was thinking of getting hydros. What do you guys think? Oh yeah, he says that it has about 7,000 miles on the lift because he had it on for a year and then upgraded. Thanks

Define great deal? No it would not look odd with 30's. Procomp spring are okay, infact Currie used them in their kits for a number of years. The shocks as you noted, not so great..

It's $50 for the springs and shocks... It's been on craisglist for about a month for $150, but he's moving now, so he's going down in price.

ProComp's springs are very good quality, among the best. That said, the ES-3000 shocks that come with them are so stiff riding that few keep them on their Jeeps very long. My very first suspension lift was the same ProComp 2" you're looking at but the ES3000 shocks were in my trash within 3-4 months, they rode like crap and I quickly grew to hate them. Their problem is that they are valved too stiffly for a vehicle with the weight of a Wrangler.

Ok, thanks guys. I'm just a little worried about how it will look with the 30's. Does anybody have any pics of a 2 inch lift with 30's? I will get 31's sometime in the future, I just don't know how soon.

Jerry,

I have heard many times that people absolutely hate the ES3000 shocks, but actually prefer the Pro Comp springs... When I bought my Jeep last August and she had the Stage 1 lift. Well, I finally got sick and tired of all the "Popping" from those substandard Poly bushings, so gutted all of the control arms in favor of Rubicon Express Adjustable uppers (front and rear) and fixed lowers front and rear.. This jeep rides like an absolute dream. She also flexes extremely well on the trail..

I have the best of both worlds now!!!
