Pro Comp shocks.

I'm trying to pick out a descent road shock. What do you guys think of Pro Comp? Please don't just say they suck, let me know why you think that.

I just got the skyjacker hydros, hopefully installing them tomorrow along with a Teraflex 2in bb. I will let you know how the ride is.

I have the pro comps and looking to upgrade to something a little smoother and softer. They're not so bad off road but on road you feel it all

My current shocks are totally shot. They are just a couple of empty tubes that spend their time smashing into each other as I go down the highway... I'm pretty sure I could stuff a banana in there and it'd be a significant performance upgrade...

Pro comp shocks a notorouslly n bueno on jeeps thy are a soft shock which relates to a stiff ride. I know at 2 other ppl that bought them nd replaced them wih in 6months. I currently have pc 3000s on my lj nd i hate them. But im to cheap to get new ones so ill deal with the mistake of purchasing them untill i need ones due to them goin out or my lift goin up but i know i wont be able to sell them cause there worthless. If u still want a set of 4 i got a friend with a set sitting in his garage.

+1

Switched to Rancho 9000XLs and love them on my lifted TJ. Worth the price IMHO.

I have had experience with both pro comp es3000 and skyjacker hydros, the pro comp shocks were really jarring and stiff it didn't even feel like a "jeep" it felt like I was riding in a radio flyer it literally was just terrible then went to skyjacker hydros I noticed a very small difference in my opinion both of these shocks are bottom of the barell and I hated both they ride pretty much the same to me. So I decided to quit throwing my money in a rat hole and completely changed my suspension went all around old man emu coils and shocks with other jks stuff and THAT is where I like my jeep it's a firm tight comfortable ride with almost no body roll it was such a relief after running the other garbage old man emu is an excellent choice

I just purchased a set of skyjacker hydros, we'll see what happens. I'll post pictures as I get my machine set up.
