Probably BADH, but I need help, TJ headlights

I have been going through several pages of searches and have not found a good answer yet.

My eyes are getting worse at night. I recently installed new Sylvania Silverstars H6024ST on my TJ. After reading some post around here, I got these lights and I must say, they are no better than the old ones I had . I did a test the last few nights while driving on highway and country roads. I left them on high and nobody once asked me to dim them. I have checked by several methods and they appear to be adjusted right.

Our 10 JK lights up the night like my F150 does. I have seen conversion kits for this style light but if they are not any better on a TJ, I don't want to spend the money and change my TJ's looks.

I do not like that blue looking bulb, forgot the name, looks like a pimp mobile.

I just want to legally get the light my F150 does. If it means an extra battery, relays or whatever, I will do it.

Any help from here or a link that answers this, will be much appreciated.

My apology for Beating A Dead Horse

Get an H4 conversion like I did for mine. Took about ten minutes to install and made a huge difference. Hella makes a good kit and so does Bosch. Nice thing is, once you do this you can just change the bulb if one burns out down the road. didn't change the look of my Jeep at all. They fit in the factory housings. Most kits are decently priced at under 150.

The conversion kits are good! Delta makes one that I heard is really good and it comes with a blinker bulb built in just in case you modify your fenders or flares you can still be street legal. Also hella is a good brand too and the new hella xenon replacement bulbs are very bright and don't look blue, but if you want something bright like your JK or F150 you need to get the new KC conversion because they have a clear lens with diamond cut reflectors and that's what you really want if it's brightness you seek! That's why both your vehicles have great lights! Anything like the Hellas, or delta have a lead parabolic crystal lens that has the lines built into them where the KC is made from the same material as your JK and truck, then you can get the hella bulbs at Advance auto parts and it will be like riding in your jk or truck!!

You should send Barrie (in Maine) a pm. He has upgraded his headlights because they are no longer sealed beam like the factory used. He could tell you about what he has.

BTW,

This is beating a dead horse:

IPF or Delta conversion are the way to go, I've got the IPF Plasma conversion in mine, I'd never go back to regular bulbs ever again.

Maybe try readjusting them. I went to the silverstars and it was a huge improvement. I was getting flashed by every other car with them on the low beams until i lowered them a bit. My tip for setting lights is to drive a stock vehicle with good lights onto the street and mark where the main light is focused. Drive to the same spot and adjust the lights to the same place.

If you want better I would do a convert to a H4 style bulb, very simple install. Kits are at quadradec, morris 4x4 ect. Some come with bulbs others do not. If you want the best for a headlamp you do that conversion then buy a HID kit, you didnt want the blue color but that is determined by the type of HID bulb you get the lower specturm 3000K to 5000 are yellow to white,.. 6000K to 12000K are bluish to purple. I havent looked recently but I think the sealed beam to H4 conversion runs about 40 bucks, and a typical High/low beam HID kit is in the 200-250 range not 100% sure on that.

I went with Cibie H4 housings. Expensive yes, but sooooooooo worth it. I also did an upgraded headlight wiring harness.

Go with Hella e-code H4 housing with 55w DDM HID. I love the way mine turned out. Good luck!
