Problem with My Rubicon

I am a first time jeep owner. I bought a used 2004 this past winter. It didn't occur to me to take the hardtop off to make sure that there were no problems. I now can't seem to remove the top. Is there something I'm missing? I've followed the manual and I think I'm doing the necessary things to remove it. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have any ideas of what I may or may not be doing. Thanks for any suggestions!

If the Jeep has had a hard top on it for 7 years, chances are that the seals have somewhat adhered to the tub. If you have followed the manual direction and removed all the bolts, header latches and connectors for wipers, I would suggest that you get the seals as warm as you can and find a friend to help you try to force it off.

There are 3 bolts per side. The under the visor there is a latch per side. Un do those. Make sure you unhook your washer fluid and electrical connection on the driver side back corner. Need someone to help with it because it weighs close to 150 pounds.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I wondered if that might be the case. I didn't want to do any damage to the top iby forcing it off. I am currently in Wyoming and I am staying in a hotel near a Jeep dealership. I may take it there and see what they can do, but would rather do it myself if I can.

When I took my hardtop off today for the first time since October last year, the seals stuck a little and had to really lift to get it off. If you have all 6 of the bolts removed, the electrical connector/washer hose undone and the windshield latches undone it's most likely the seals sticking.
