problems after exhaust manifold replacement

i replaced my exhaust manifold on my 99 sahara 4.0 while in the process i broke a wire to one of the injectors i soldered it back together and fired it up, immediately the rpms took off like i floored it, i shut it down and checked all my connections and tried it again same result. it had been idling erradically before like shooting up to 2000rpm for about 10 seconds then back down to less than 1000 it did that a few times. more often it be around 1200 then settle down.what do ya tps or did screw up on my injector or manifold lets hear it

could be a big vac leak. maybe around the new gasket. missing vac lines?

did you try resetting the computer by disconecting the battery. Is the iac dirty or not hooked up?

from memory one of the O2 sensors was on the new header. You didnt rip that did ya?

check all the plugs on the throttle body.

You did remove the intake manifold right? I dont think it can be done with out doing so anyways..

You need to reseat your manifold , it's offset somewhere and that's causing your high RPMs.

thanks i will try it again this weekend it will take me a week and half to do a 4 hour job. oh well it will keep me outta trouble
