protecting sub and stereo

I'm getting ready for the summer and I think I'm about to bed line my rig so when it rains if my tops down its not a big deal. However I have a sub and after market stereo installed and I'm almost positive the rain would damage them. What would be the best way to protect them from getting wet?

I had an Alpine CD in mine, it got rained on SEVERAL times with no harm. I was an idiot and bought the jeep with no AC so could not use the top in the summer.

I'd say bedline your sub-box and there are how-to's on weather proofing the speaker itself. The head unit is a tricky on to answer. If it has a removable face-plate just take it out in fear of getting it wet

I'd consider a quadratec ivault, it provides some overhang around your head unit that will give it some protection while in use, as well as having the cover locked over the face-plate.

Keep in mind alot of people here don't like this item, but it has worked great for me. Replace the stock cover lock with one from Granger, and you'll have an additional deterrent from theft. I'll get some pics.

Easy: when the top is down, install a duster cover.
