Push Button Ignition Switch

I was following this thread where a small steering column part was
affecting the ignition cylinder lock / switch

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/unab...art-89669.html

so I would like to know if anyone has installed a
push button Ignition switch in a 1999 TJ Wrangler
and have detail step by step instructions.....

found this link but it is for a 92 YJ

That's pretty cool.

Now if someone would just perfect a push-button ejection seat, to help get rid of pesky unwanted passengers...

For what its worth, if you're not trying to hide it and don't mind the positioning, the "Engine Start" button from a Honda S2000 will fit into the hole from a cigarette lighter (sorry, accessory plug) hole with very little dremel work. I've done this in another vehicle where the lighter was conveniently located near the steering column... Looks like it came from the factory.. Can post pics tonight if interested.

Sorry it took so long for me to remember to snap a pic before heading off to work....

Anyway, here you go!

I don't recall the exact wiring, but it was basically a matter of wiring this switch and a relay into the existing ignition wiring. Key needs to be in the on position, then the switch is functional.
