Putting newer rims on older models

I see dozens of new Jeep tire/rim sets for sale on the site but do they make adapter to allow me to put a newer model set on a TJ? If so, where to you buy them? Thanks

Yes they do make the adaptors. 4 wheel parts quadratek are a few examples on where to get them.

Look for 5x4.5" to 5x5", 1.5" hub centric/wheel centric adapters. That will allow you to put the 2007+ JK tires on your 97-2006 TJ.

I did this with JK Sport tires (steel wheel 31") with no other mods to my 2000 TJ. I have not had any issues with rubbing, in fact, it solved a couple problems.

I bought a set of 5 adapters off ebay that came with 23 open ended lug nuts for my 20x1.5 standard lugs, and 25 solid, chromed lug nuts that fit the adapters for $120.

I am happy.

Here is a better picture, i love the look of the JK rims on a TJ. I have a BB that will make the tires fit a lot better.

Personally, I wouldn't buy adapters just to run newer style Jeep wheels. You can buy similar or better wheels that will fit your current 5x4.5" bolt pattern sio you won't need that adapter. I'm really no fan of wheel bolt pattern adapters or spacers. Not to mention you can generally find TJ wheels with looks similar to what comes on JKs, if you really want to stick with the factory look... which I'm not a fan of either.
