q on soft tops in new england/cold weather

hey guys. i've been reading a lot of hard top vs. soft top threads on here and everyone seems to have their own opinion on what's better. one thing i never see come up though is whether or not there is any issue with the rear window fogging up in the winter.

i know most, if not all, convertibles sold up here (soft and hard top) have a glass rear window with the defogger lines built in. do any of the available soft tops for the tj have the defogger built in? if not, does the rear window fog/clear up quickly while driving?

i know when i get in my car in the morning anytime between late november and march all my windows start getting foggy, so if the windows don't clear up quickly then i'll need to make sure i have a ht before winter. thanks for any advice.

usually there is enough air moving through the soft top to keep rear window fogging to a minimum LOL......
I've never noticed an issue with the rear fogging unless I'm stopped and fogging it up for some reason with some heavy ahhhh, never mind...

your dash defroster should clear your door windows(driver and passenger) enough so that you can use your mirrors, or are you from rhode island? the biggest little state in the nation

What is that supposed to mean? haha.

Rhode Island winter was fine for me. No problem with fogging and my soft top wrangler stays hotter and warms up faster than my dodge dakota ever did.

Why do you need to see out of the rear window. Do you see on on a truck or bus. Learn to use your mirrors, pay attention to everything around you and you won't worry about the rear window fogging up.

thanks, i appreciate the responses guys.

to address one issue: i am not from RI, i'm from MA

to address another issue: i do know how to use my mirrors. i used to drive a home remodeling truck that had a utility body on the back with no rear window. i know how to use the mirrors, but out of habit i like to look out the rear window.
