The badlands winch is from Harbor Freight and their regular price is $399, so you're not saving much over a new one. If you wait until they have one of their sales, you might be able to get a new one for the price of the used one you're looking at. But again, it's a pretty much bottom of the barrel winch; I've never owned one so I really can't comment, but in my opinion if you're ever in a situation where you absolutely need your winch to work the badlands winch might not be the best choice.

The Engo winch mentioned above would probably be a better option.
