question about a 1997 Wrangler TJ

Hello everyone, i am thinking about buying 1997 jeep wrangler TJ, it has a new 4 inch rough country suspension lift with brand new 33s, also has a detroit locker and has 96xxxmiles. i tlked him down to as low as 3200. The front ball joint needs to be replaced, and has hesitation while going uphill. its a 2.5l and a 4 cylinder. Let me know if it is worth it or not PM me, thank you very much.

A TJ in that condition would still bring 5-6k around where I live. I'd buy it if I were you.

Well you won't have to worry about getting a speeding ticket. (4" lift, 33's, 2.5.) Do you know what axles it has?

'97 is a very good year, that's what I used to have. Describe the "hesitation going up hill". Do you mean it struggles going up hill or does it actually hesitate/engine miss? But no matter what, $3200 is a smoking deal if it runs.

the hesitation is like the engine is reving but its like a car is automatic and you are in park and you push the gas... like that sound . And it does run but it isnt even registered. My avatar is the picture of it, i can send a closer picture to someones email if they would like.

Yep could be nothing more than the clutch needs to be replaced. How many miles are on it?

Still sounds like a decent deal even if it needs a clutch. See if he'll let you take to a mechanic to check it out. I have a 97 myself with 33's, 2.5, manual, factory 4.10's, and I have to whip it down the highway. Around town it's awesome. Please take the time to go over it AND under it to avoid any surprises. Good luck
