question about bed lining tub

what type of roll on brushes and paint brushes did you use to apply a roll on bed liner? I noticed one called for a solvent resistant roll brush, but I didn't notice a brush stating that. What did you guys use?

The choices these days are endless.. Some will tell you to get the cheapest throw away roller covers and brushes. When you go cheap that is what your finished product will look like.. Get a short napped mini roller cover, and of course the mini roller.. ( Whiz is one brand name ) and get a good quality oil paints brush. I prefer the oval or round brushes, but, ( big plug here )... For the very best advise go to your local mom and pop paint retailer, if no mom and pops in your area, then go to a Sherwin Williams. They will give you the very best advise possible for your selection of rollers and brushes for the job.. The advise is well worth the extra 5 bucks in the cost of supplies...

Tip I got from a good painter regarding roller prep:

Wrap the roller in painter's tape, then remove. This pulls the loose fibers from manufacture free before they end up in whatever you're painting as a permanent additive. Maybe you don't care with bed liner but I thought I'd throw it out there because it's proven useful to me.

Also, I ordered some product samples from Durabak and have decided that I will be using their product for my interior.

Don;t spend alot of money on what you buy, because you're going to throw them in the trash when you;re done. There's no saving them.

Not to beat a dead horse, but that's just poor advise.. A good mini roller might cost $7.99, mini roller covers are around $6 for a pair...the roller is money well spent, as it will be around for other jobs. A good 1" or 1.5" bristle brush sells for around $6 Good roller covers and good brushes allow the paint to flow from them.. The OP will not be cussing and swearing half way through the job cause he bought the $2 throw away junk brushes.. Another way to prep the roller is to dip it in thinner, spin it dry, let it set over nite
