Question about paint and Jeep emblem

Hi all,

I am a brand new Jeep owner and first time poster on the Wrangler Forum. I have lots of little questions which I will post more about later, but for now, I have one simple question:

Can someone tell me a little more about why my Jeep does not have logos or emblems on the side?

Here is an example:

Thank you in advance!

Those were simple stickers applied at the factory and sometimes they get scratched up and removed. You can get them and the Trail Rated badge that should be on there.

Or it could have been painted and the stickers not put back on

Thanks guys. I was thinking the same about the stickers, probably removed. The paint is nearly new, hardly a scratch on it, and the low miles makes me think, "why would it have been repainted?" Good to hear your ideas.

Doesn't sound like this was a "stock" option as the dealer explained. They will say anything...

How did you know that it should come with the "trail rated" badge. Was that on all of the sport models?

Still learning a lot.

The Trail Rated designation didn't start until 2004. I see you have an "03".

Yeah, it's from 2003. Dealer also gave me a remote for unlocking the doors, said the battery is dead and thats why it wasn't working. However, from my searching I am pretty sure half doors don't have remote entry locks. Lol

Remote entry was not a factory option but the PO may have added power locks, usually as part of an alarm system

This... "Nearly new, hardly a scratch on it, plus to me the front of the tub seems to be a different shade than the fender and door.

I have the "Trail Rated" badge on the drivers side of my 06 X sport, but not on the passenger side. What does the trail rated badge mean?

So here is the scoop. Just heard back from Jeep with the specs.

APAS Monotone Paint
KFPS Lt. Quartz - Badge - Sport, Cowl Sid
KWPS Lt. Quartz - Badge - Jeep, Lower Cow
KXPS Lt. Quartz - Badge - Wrangler

I assume this means that the stickers were removed.

Also, I am surprised this model would have come with DRK Heavy Duty Dana 44 Rear Axle. That's what the spec sheet says. Anyway to verify this? (I've read this is a better axle to have)

- They were applied to only one side

- Nothing but marketing
