Quick Disconnects

So I've been wanting to get some quick disconnects and today I was looking online when I came across this... Jeep Homemade Swaybar Disconnects
I was wondering if anyone has done this and how well they hold up. I really would like to have some JKS quick discos, but honestly I'm not going to be disconnecting my sway bar that much and I dont want to spend that much money on something im not going to use a whole lot.

I installed JKS adjustable coil spacers (allowing a 2 inch lift) in the front of my 2005 TJ. When doing so I disconnected the front sway bar...anyway long story short I think that the link you provided would definately be worth a try... shouldnt be more than $20 at a good hardward store for all the parts. I would trust it.

As you said you wouldnt be disconnecting them very often so I would just recommend checking to make sure all is well every few weeks or so. But maybe thats just me I get paranoid about safety things like that.

Overall seems like a great idea... safe and cost effective as long as your responsible about ensuring you check you rig before and after use it should be fine

good luck and keep me updated if you do decide to go ahead with the mod. I would like to hear some feedback because I'm considering it as well

Well I was at a hardware store and I found the clevis pins and washers but they didn't have the cotter pins. The clevis pins and washers totalled to $2.00 not so bad in my opinion, so it'll be very very inexpensive.

Nice! But just some feedback, I've used this method before and it works great! Honestly you'll feel dumb but yet accomplished on how much money you saved! But it works fine and I've had no problems with it in the past

I've made them and they work ok but you have to keep an eye on them, the pins tend to wear out and they get sloppy. I'm much happier with my JKS quicker disco's.
