Question Quick poll for dana 60

I have a chance to pick up a D60 for $100. I'm making a multipurpose rig (on and off road) so I need to know whether its a good idea to use a D60 for the rear on 33"s and an eventual V8 swap? Thoughts?

A Dana 60 on 33's isn't going to have much ground clearance.

A Dana 60 is well worth $100 if its in decent condition. I agree with kyjeep though. You're going to probably want around 37's with a D60. If you have a the Dana 44 rear option on your Jeep 33's are more than fine. No regearing required for 33" tires and under. I advise if you're going to use it multipurpose just keep your stock axles and throw on some 33's.

D60 is a large axle. If it advised that you be running at least 37's with a D60 just because of the ground clearnace issues. Ultimatly a D60 for 33s is WAY over kill. However 100 is a good price and if it was me I would grab it and build it up then save it until I can purchase at least 37's.

I was thinking about trying to build it and flip it, make some extra cash. And the only issues with running stocks is the imminent 5.2 swap, I keep reading that the stock axles can't handle the v8, so I was considering a d44/d44 or d44/8.8 combo
