Quick question about being doorless

It's going to be nice with 0-10% chance of rain the next few days so I'm planning on getting mirrors tomorrow do I can drive doorless but I already took off the doors and was wondering of i take the fuse "DOOR SW DEFEAT" (4) out if it will still rundown my battery?

It did. Will the battery be fine if I leave the doors off?

Just took my doors off for the first time yesterday, but had purchased spring clips for that purpose. Easy and convenient. They could be made pretty easily if you didn't want to purchase. That option seemed easier than pulling and reinstalling a fuse...Either way, love having the doors off.

I pulled out my fuse and havent put it back in since, but for some people that probably wont be a good idea seeing that it stops the jeep from screaming at you when you leave your lights on. So if your prone to forgetting your lights reinstall the fuse.

so i've never had the doors off, i have full doors. I want to this summer though. Do you need to have mirrors on the jeep after you remove the doors? Sorry for the newb question. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen too many jeeps with the mirrors on in PA. Could be wrong though.

Most states require two rearview mirrors, I would expect that PA does too.

I've been told in Ohio you need at least 1 outside rear facing mirror. I just picked up a 20 coleman ATV mirror with a mount at Walmart to attach to the roll bar.

Indiana requires only one rear facing mirror. Thus, the rearview on the windshield.

In not 100% sure about the mirror laws. Ive also been told that its not just by state it goes by town and county. I'm more worried about my battery goin dead then anything.

You won't have a problem with your battery. When my hard top comes off for the summer, so does the fuse.

Ok. Well I done bought a mirror and put it on. So il use it just to be safe. And I live in in KY right on the border but almost all my friends live in Ohio so I drive more there. And I'm still in high school and don't want to risk tickets...

Just remember your lights when you pull that fuse.... that one's bit me in the arse a few times!! I learned pretty quick though (if 3 or 4 times is quick?)!!

Anyone who drives without a mirror will get slaughtered if you get in a wreck.

If the reason you were in a wreck, was cause via poor visibility. Youre within the law if its something entirely different.

Thats like saying you were going 65 in a 60, and someone pulled out in front of you, could you have been going slower? Yes, but the law allows you to go that speed. They cant hold you contempt if youre within the law and it wasnt a direct cause.

i hardly ever use my passenger side mirror, i just turn and look over my shoulder, a whole lot easier to see. and with the doors and top off you can easily look over your right shoulder and see perfectly clear...
