Quick question about speaker size

I'm at best buy now and would like the biggest speakers I could get for the front sides of the dash, is 4X6 the biggest?

Thanks!

I would get 5.25" round speakers with the adapter plates sold online. They will give better sound than the 4x6

Where would I find those adapter plates? Are they expensive?

An 8" speaker won't fit behind the front speaker grills like the OP asked about. 4x6 is the largest but a 5.25" round coaxial speaker will sound better than the oval-shaped 4x6.

4x6 to round 5.25" speaker adapter plates are easily found because that is such a popular conversion, here are some... https://www.google.com/#bav=on.2,or....&tbm=shop&um=1.

The adapter I'd actually go with though is from Nalin who commonly participates in the various Jeep audio forums... http://www.nalinmfg.com/TJ-525-Speak...pters_p_8.html
