Quick question on fender flare install

Ok so I just picked up some bushwacker fender flares. I'm wondering if using a little bigger size of like self tapper screw instead of those ones with the annoying backs. Have anyone does this before? Will they with hold the fender in higher speeds?

Why not just use normal bolts with wing nuts?

I myself don't mind the plastic blocks that much but wingnuts should work well.

That's actually a good idea. Thank you.

When they were coming off some of the bolts broke so I was just trying to find the easiest way to get them back on
