Quick softop question

Finally got the soft top on and had it all zipped up ready to go today but after work the skies were blue so I decided to drop the top, tonight I tried to zip up the side windows and the wouldn't go on at all, it seemed like it shrunk because it got colder (I realize that this obviously happens), but my question is, I put it back together with just the velcro holding it in (it is a pretty new besttop so the velcro is in good shape).. Just wanted to see if this is commonly done or should I always zip it back in there?

In a pinch I think you'll be ok. When it gets warm out try zipping it again.

Anything is better than nothing when keeping the elements out, but the velcro I think is mainly to protect the zipper from rain, snow, dirt, and salt. I wouldn't recommend cruising around too much with only velcro holding your windows on. The wind will grab them, and they aren't the cheapest things on a Jeep to replace.

Do you have any suggestions as to what to use for zipper lubricant? My rear window ones get all hung up throughout the zipping process.

mopar dealer chrysler/bestop and everyone else sells a zipper lube. Lots of people say to use candle wax. The zipper lube from dealer is fairly inexpensive and last for a fair amount of time-couple months at a time for me.

x2 on the Mopar Zipper lube, it has a brush applicator to clean the dust out while you apply it, and it's like $10 from the dealer. Easier and cheaper for me than driving all over town looking for some other zipper lube at the outdoors shops or something. And safer than leaving a candle in the garage or Jeep to melt all over creation this summer....
