Do a search on catalytic converters and you'll find the problem lots of TJs have. Good luck.

Try the front passenger seat, mine rattles and squeaks
It's the roller track assembly
I hope your cat converter isn't inside your jeep

If the top of the cat is knocking on the floorboard I doubt you could tell which side of the floor is rattling...

What are you carrying in the glove box? I tracked down my rattle to the spare light bulbs rolling around in there and getting jostled around on rough roads...

You mean the TJ is not suspose to rattle? Seems like there is always something rattling somewhere...the glove box....console...under the seat.....seatbelt buckle....even the metal snaps holding the carpet. Best way not to hear the rattles is to remove the top and doors, then the wind noise will deaden the sound of everything else. Of course then at low speeds you can hear the drivetrain under the TJ as it echoes from below.
Please keep in mind that while the above may only apply to my TJ, your rattle may differ.

Mine was the front passenger seat as well, and now my rear window retainer rattles like crazy...Never really noticed either of these until my radio got stolen lol. Now it drives me nuts, but at least it's nothing too bad.

Just the other day I noticed a rattle in mine when you hit bumps sometimes and while accelerating after shifting gears, I can't remember if it's gone now or I just got used to it

I had that happen too, I thought the whole Jeep was gonna fall apart, but it was just a loose jack.
Also had a two sockets in the bottom door pocket that about drove me nuts till I found them. That was the way my dad returned my tools

I forgot to mention that too, I had this loud loud rattle from mine shortly after I got it. Turns out my girlfriend would take a socket that was in the cup holder and let it roll around the floor everytime she was with me and think it was greeat watching me listen around trying to figure out what it was....again
