Radiator

I left work today because of being ill. Got home and when I got out of my jeep I could smell coolant. Popped the hood and one of the seams on the plastic tube on my radiator is leaking. I found this one pretty cheap. Has anyone used one of these before. If so any issues with it. If not is there any reason I should stay away from his type. http://www.genesisautoparts.com/prod...827x2101aa.htm

You may have already done so but make sure your thermostat is good so you don't pop the new one too!

Get a metal one bro. I ordered mine from radiator barn for 200 dollars and it has done great. I just dont get plastic and high heat but others love the plastic metal combo from what I have read.

Ya I figured I would do a whole system flush and replace the t-stat while I was at it. Good point tho. Thanks for the heads up

That one is suppose to be all aluminum. That's why I was leaning toward it. Should I go with a different kind of metal. I thought aluminum. Was the only option besides the aluminum and plastic.

Make sure, because I could have gotten a single row all aluminum for a lot less than what I paid.

Will do. I am behind in my pictures. I took off my stock steel rims with the 225/75-15 and picked up a set on canyon with 31 10.50 and a kargo master cage with canoe rack cross bars. It's starting to look like a jeep now.

I like my canyons too, the 10.50's are next, once these tires wear down.

That description is a little confusing , up at the top it says one row, then down in the body it says 2 row. Let us know what you get

I called the company and asked. It is a 1 row. The guy I talked to said they only make the 2 rows for the 4.0. I have the 2.5. I still think it is pretty cheap. It was 40 bucks cheaper then the plastic tube ones all the auto parts stores sell around here.

Probably nothing wrong with that as long as it cools the H2O.

Sorry took so long. I Got the new radiator in and new T-stat and belt while i was at it. Had to go to the dealer to get a new bolt for the adjuster for the belt. Everything went well besides breaking that bolt. Radaitor looks to be ok. It is a cheap radaitor so i wasnt expecting a 400$ radaitor for 124 bucks. But so far so good. Welds look a lilttle off like they had a 7th grader doing the welding but like i said i paid 124 bucks for it.
