Radio Antenna Disconnect

I have a 04 TJ with the factory AMFM CD player, can anyone tell me if I can disconnect the antenna by removing just the glove box or do I need to pull the front bezel. I need to plug it into a Sirius FM antenna adaptor and then plug the adaptor antenna lead back into the radio.

I'm pretty sure that you can reach it from the glove compartment. Take a small mirror and take a peek behind the radio for exact location.

Better yet....I do believe that there is a splice in the antennae line, directly behind the glove box. Something that I worked on recently had that, and I believe it was the 06 Wrangler. Seems like it was wrapped in foam. Take a look.

I just saw that on my 04 last night (I've still got a CD stuck in the factory stereo though )

My 03 had a splice behind the glove box too. Drove me nuts trying to figure out why I had crap reception. Someone previous had a sirius and never plugged it back in when they removed it
