Rally Top LJ Reviews & Roof Rack

hello - getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2 piece rally top for my 2004 LJ this week. I've scoured the search function and only found a few reviews - more or less positive ones.

Any feedback before I order?

My next step, when I get the top, will be to figure out a roof rack set up to carry two kayaks. I'm probably going to skip the rally roof rack and do my own, although I want to get something that will clear the removable section, so any thoughts on that would be appreciated.

-Vic

I bought my hardtop from rally tops. Mine leaks. Driver front corner by the windshield, passenger door, and where the tub meets the body in the back to the jeep to the right of the rear window. I brought it back to them and there solution is cheap foam weather stripping. If you live close to them it's not a big deal but I live in riverside so I'm not to keen on driving up there every time I find another leak so I'm just gonna find a way to stop the leaks myself. I paid $1800 for mine. I would recommend going through the dealer. It's only a little more but I think they will do better at making sure it's water tight.

Thanks - I've been going through the install instructions and trying to figure out what I'm getting into.

Vic - Did you end up getting the Rally Top? If so, what has been your experience with it? I'm considering one down the road possibly.

My son's 97 Sahara had a Rally top on it when we bought it. The construction is heavy duty compared to a factory top but the fit is not good and I cannot stop it from leaking. As soon as I can find a reasonably priced factory top, I plan on changing it.
