Anyone happen to know where these tops are made? My soft top is in pretty rough shape and I'm seriously considering this one to replace it. Just curious...

They are made in China! The only bowless top made in the U.S. is softopper.

I'm really liking that Rampage myself!
Is there any issues with one if you live in the snowy areas of the country? Wondering how it would hold up to some heavier snowfall.
She gets parked in the 2 car garage but ya never know what might happen while at work.

I was afraid of that. Nothing against the people who have them- they look nice and the price is right. I just have a serious aversion to buying anything made in China unless there is no other alternative.

I'll check out softopper. Thanks!!

Sonewhat pricey compared to the Rampage I guess but cheaper than Bestop by a long shot and more importantly- made here. I think Softopper is what I'll be going with once spring gets here.

Softopper.. $549.95 tinted windows and shipping.. nothing else needed

Rampage.. amazon (cheapest I have found)
Soft top + windshield channel + tail gate bar kit .. $437.32

I know that not everyone need all the parts like I do..

My decision for going with Softopper and paying $112.63 more

sailcloth / design = the straps in the back are inside and don't have to be removed everytime you take windows off / made USA

So you're saying the Softopper straps on the back, are inside instead of outside, like the Rampage?

not 100% but the looks of the install video of the Rampage , yes you need the mopar door surrounds. that would be an extra $153.00 compared to softpper extra $20.00.. But then again I would still get/use mopar surrounds it looks like a better seal..

Just to let you know.. What I am saying is just my opinion on the videos and what I have read.. I don't even have neither of those tops.. I am still saving $$$ for it

Ahhh I see now! Thanks
My next question is what is the big difference between sail cloth and the other materials available?
I'm still new to the Jeep ownership, so just trying to figure out what is best.

I'm looking at 1 right now in my Driveoffroad.com magazine. They offer a Rugged Ridge bowless soft top for my TJ. $380

I have had the Bestop NX for over a year now and i love it.
is a bit of a PITA to put back window in until you learn the tricks.
other than that only drawback is taking top completely off but i don't and safari is why i picked this top. Plus you can put back so only part covered is the rear seat. as the driver i don't care about the rear seat but my kids and dog prefer the shade.

update, called the warranty department today, they're sending me the 2 pieces that are broken on the rampage top free of charge, I don't have to return the old ones, and they're going to next day it tomorrow. the rep was kind and courteous. I was quite upset that they sold me a cheaply made product, but if they make up for it in the customer service like that, what more can you ask for?

I am looking at one of these as well. I run year round with a safari, wrap jammer, and deck cover. Sometimes it would be nice to toss the windows in after baking at the beach all day or if I need to haul some stuff in the back.

If your in the market for this top. I got the sailcloth version and windshield channel shipped for $398 total instead of advertised price, but you have to call into truckaddons.com. They were really helpful also.
