I have a 06 TJ and just bought the Rampage Bowless top. I love everything about it except the Cap Piece. It has a 3/4" gap from the bottom of the cap piece to the windshield top rubber seal. This gap causes quite a bit of wind noise. I went to Rampage, and they showed me I was missing some foam rubber supports which stopped some of the noise, but the gap is still there and so is the wind noise.
Have any of you experienced this? If so, what did you do to fix it?
I also am reaching out to Rampage Products, for any suggestions, so I am not trying to be "talking behind their backs", like I said, I do like the top and they guys there seemed to care, I am just asking any of you for info as well.

I will snap and send a pict tomorrow. What year is yours? I was told by the guys at Rampage, that there is a difference in the pre-04 and the 05/06... mine is a 06. They said that they didnt make a 05/06 model cap piece. I am hitting them up for one of their "prototypes"
mine is a 97. I didn't think there was a difference but, at least they're working with you right? they're an excellent customer service group. take great care of customers.
Yes they have been very good. I want to make that clear! I am just asking anyone else with a 05/06 if they have the same "gap" and what they did to fix it.
I got 05 Lj I love it. There was lil leak above my head fixed it with some sealant. It's gas a lot of wind noise. After while did not notice it till went to hard top.
What header bar did you go with? Something doesnt look right with the header, not the top its self.
Ive had this top for 2 years now, no leaks, no gaps. Is it loud...sure but arent all soft tops? Seriously, its no worse then the stock top and it might be a lil quieter.
EDIT: Looks like you used the Rampage header bar, that wasnt out when I bought my top. Id like to see a pic straight on at the top of the windshield and maybe from the inside. Really looks like something is wrong with your header. I used the Bestop Header bar as recommended(at the time I purchased it)and have zero issues. Looks like your header is either tweaked or not properly installed.
It looks to me like the header channel has slipped back. The leading edge of the channel should go completely down to the lower ledge of the bulb seal. I don't know specifically how the Rampage channel mounts, but with the header channel on my Supertop I have to keep it pushed forward while tightening it down or it will slip back.
I found this video from Bestop, the part that applies here is from 1:20 to 3:52.
