Random Thoughts from a new TJ Owner

Six months ago I bought a black 2002 Wrangler 4.0 with manual transmission.
The Jeep has a 5 inch lift and a few other modifications.

Here's a collection of random thoughts I've had over the last 6 months.

5 minutes after purchase:
"Well, I removed the hardtop and doors. I won't be needing those again."

10 minutes into my first drive:
"Why is everyone waving at me."

1 hour into my first drive:
"I don't want to stop driving, but it's midnight. I'm driving around aimlessly and I have to work tomorrow. Sigh... I'll take the long way home."

Second day of Jeep Ownership:
Staring out my office window "Is it 5 o'clock yet?"

First week of Jeep Ownership:
"I need to download the Weather Channel App."

First time in the mud:
(In a high pitch scream) "This is the most fun I've had in my entire life, period."

First time stuck in the mud:
"I'm never doing this again. Seriously. Never again."

5 minutes after the wrecker pulled me out of the mud:
"Let's try that again, just hit the puddle faster."

Later that night:
"How much does a winch cost?"

The day after:
"No I'm not washing it. Mud is a badge of honor."

When I finally decided to wash it:
"How did mud get there!?" followed by "I guess the carpet is coming out."

1 month into Jeep Ownership:
"Why don't the JKs wave back? Maybe because 90% of JK owners are Soccer Moms?
Maybe they're too busy applying makeup and yelling at their kids in the backseat."

Every time I take a hard corner:
"Something fell out. It was my cell phone wasn't it?"

First Summer day here in Florida:
"I've burned my thighs. How much does a bikini top cost?"

6 months into Jeep Ownership:
"I might actually spend more money on upgrades than I spent on the Jeep!"

I'm glad to finally be a part of the club,

BIGBLACK

Never keep track of how much you spend in upgrades... You'll realize this was actually a self-fulfilling prophecy

I've told myself twice now, "I'm never coming back here again, until I have ________." I have put new tires and just bought a lift. I'll be hitting those trails again shortly.
