RE budget boost vs. OME 2 in Lift???

Tried a quick search and nothing specific. Anyone heard any pros/cons or have either. I know there is a price difference. The OME is a more complete kit. RE I've seen has gotten good reviews. Really want to do springs instead of spacers... Want to eventually get into some technical trails. Not much rock crawling here in FL. Any input would help. Have 02 all stock with 31/10.5/15 dura tracs on stock 15/8 wheels.

I think you will find there is no comparison between the two. I have an OME lift, and it rides smoother than stock both on and off road.

If you decide to go with OME, I would highly suggest going through Dirk at DPG Offroad. He will walk you through exactly what you need and more importantly, why. He can also get you coil springs based on your own equipment- winch, heavier bumpers, full sized spare, etc. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with him when I ordered my stuff. I went with the "Ultimate" kit from the link above. Not cheap, but I wanted to do it the right way the first time.

^^ What he said. I've already done some business with Dirk and I'll do some more later when I save up enough money for a lift. (The OME is top notch and it's what I plan to put on my own rig.)

Ya for sure go with a spring lift. springs are way better than pucks. Any spring lift will be better than a BB. And you can always add a puck on top of your springs. I have a sping lift with a 3/4 inch spacer in the front to compensate for sag from winch and bumper, and its money!

I went with the Ultimate Kit from Dirk at DPG offroad also. He talked with me for an hour going over what I was doing with my rig and telling/explaining to me what would work. He talked me out of the SYE kit he sells and said I should be fine with the MML upgrade which was cheaper. He also said that if I needed the SYE later I could always get it instead of spending the money now if I didn't need it. I would do business with him again anytime without hesitation.

I have the OME lift as well as some other mods that go together nicely. I have no regrets at all about the ride or quality.

well OME has some great lifts, and if you plan on staying that low, dont tell me your doing the "LCOG" shit...., than go with the OME but if you are doing a temorary lift, i dont really recomend, then go with the RE BB. I ran a BB for awhile and it wasnt bad at all, my buddy who i wheel with has the skyjacker BB, and it rides really nice.

LCOG, not sure what this is. I only plan on going 2 inches max. Just bought a set of 31's and it's my DD. Not much funds to get too crazy. That's why I was thinking OME. Little $$$$ up front but figure it'll work for what I want. Although the RE is half the $$$$ and also gets good reviews...

LCOG= Low Center Of Gravity. If you dont plan on offroading, or anything to crazy then i would honesly recomend the RE BB. RE has a good rep for ggod riding kits mainly because the shocks are pretty nice, but the OME will prolly ride better, but can you really justify the extra cost of the OME if you dont plan to offroad, i couldnt if i was you but thats me. Either is a good choice you just need to look at what will suit you and your jeeps needs. I offroaded with a BB for awhile and had no complants, and like i said my buddy who rides with us has a BB and it suits him just fine, offroad and DD.

More good input. I do like the price of the RE BB. I've also heard the RE has a very good ride on/off road. Thanks again to all.

Crazy, yea, not sure yet. Reviews are good on both. Guess it comes down to money and completeness of the package. If I did the RE BB, I would still eventually like to do springs; although I've read that if you go with the RE monotubes, that could be areally good system too and saves about $250 over the OME.

To many decisions...
