I know many people have posted about this but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I have a '98 4.0 5 spd, 3.07s. I was thinking about regearing any advice?? I am running 31's and might go to 32's in the future. What gearing should I go to to get good mileage. It is my DD but I once in a while do some mudslinging. I would like to keep a good gas mileage. Right now I get about 15-16mpg. Suggestions on gears would be greatly appreciated, as well as info on how long it takes to do it (if possible to do by yourself).

This is my jeep. There are many like it but this one is mine. My jeep is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my jeep is useless. Without my jeep I am useless. I must drive my jeep true. I must be better than the mud, who is trying to defeat me. I must conquer it before it conquers me. Before God I swear this creed: my jeep and myself are masters of the mud, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no more mud. Amen.

for that size tire it may not be worth regearing if you dont plan on getting bigger tires in the near future, maybe find some 4.11's in a junkuard out of a junked jeep and put thos in cheap, it wil be a hard jpb to do if you've never done i before and dont eactly knwow aht you're doing
