So...the previous owner of my TJ had the tub Rhino Lined, which would be great, BUT they did a crappy job so I want to redo it. Would I need to completely sand all the old stuff off, or could I clean it real good and re-coat? I'm wanting to do a desert tan Monstaliner fwiw. Hoping that will make the interior just a little cooler on hot days. Anyway, what are y'all's thoughts?
Subbed I'm n the same boat and have been wondering the same thing for a while
98 sport, 4inch skyjacker lift, 35" goodyear wrangler mtrs with kevlar on 15x10 black streetlock wheels, smittybuilt rear bumber with tire carrier, warn m8000 winch, windshield mount hellas, and a rhinolined interior, with aussie locked dana 30 front dana 44 rear with a yukon grizzly locker, 4.10 gears with a 3speed 32rh
I do believe that they will bond to each other if cleaned very well. You would need to make sure that any loose rhino was pulled up before you redo it. I would also call and talk to Eric at Monstaliner to make sure. He is great to work with and ready to help in any way he can.
I redid mine , not sure what brand the previous owner used but I used herculiner and barely prepped it at all honestly, I just cleaned it like I normally do and then rolled over it, been on for about 8 months now and looks brand new still
