Re-lining tub?

So...the previous owner of my TJ had the tub Rhino Lined, which would be great, BUT they did a crappy job so I want to redo it. Would I need to completely sand all the old stuff off, or could I clean it real good and re-coat? I'm wanting to do a desert tan Monstaliner fwiw. Hoping that will make the interior just a little cooler on hot days. Anyway, what are y'all's thoughts?

Thanks!

I do believe that they will bond to each other if cleaned very well. You would need to make sure that any loose rhino was pulled up before you redo it. I would also call and talk to Eric at Monstaliner to make sure. He is great to work with and ready to help in any way he can.

Also, he has an ID/Account on jeepforum.com. The owner has a huge thread about Monstaliner and he is always up on it. Lots of great info. (Just did mine)

I redid mine , not sure what brand the previous owner used but I used herculiner and barely prepped it at all honestly, I just cleaned it like I normally do and then rolled over it, been on for about 8 months now and looks brand new still
