Real Simple Noob Question

Well to sum it up I wanted to change the shift knob on my 2001 TJ and for the life of me couldnt un-screw the knob from the shifter. I even attempted to use a set of channel locks but just pissed it off more. So my question is should the knob unscrew like 99% of other normal cars or is it actually part of the shifter.

Ahh... so there is a hidden bolt under the center section! Now I know what I was missing. I was just trying to unscrew the entire knob on its own. Thanks for the help...now I just hope the nice leather knob I have fits.
