Rear anti sway bar bushings

Looking to replace my rear anti sway bar bushings. I ordered new rubber ones and was expecting to find a slit to slide over the bar like the front. . They are solid. Can I cut a slit on them or do I need to remove the bar and slide them on?

Cut a slit in them, the bushings are held together by the brackets that are used to bolt the antiswaybar to the axle.
