Rear bumper with hitch towing

I have a Smittybilt rear bumper with an integrated hitch. It says it is not tow rated, but I have seen an L bracket that reinforces this type of bumper. I can't seem to find it again to buy it.

Anyone have experience on using such a bracket for towing with a rear bumper that is not specifically tow rated?

Also, a link to the bracket or who sells it would be great too.

Thanks.

Neil

Which bumper you got? I have a smittybilt w/tire carrier that's rated for 3500 lbs.

Thanks.

I just don't feel comfortable with the way it just ties into the frame tie-ins and not the frame itself. These will do the trick.

What's the difference between a hitch made of 2x2x3/16" steel, bolted to the frame; and a bumper made of 2x4x3/16" steel with integrated hitch bolted to the frame with frame tie-in's ?
