rear dana

hey im in need of a little advice. my pinion bearing went out and really jacked up my dana 35. I just pulled it out from under my jeep and am wondering if i should just rebuild it or just find another one somewhere to replace it? the gear ratio is 4.11. how much trouble is it to rebuild one?
thanks

Gears are not an easy thing to do for most shade tree mechanics. If they are not setup properly, they will grenade out in short time. You may want to just look into replacing with a D44 instead of rebuilding. You may luck out and find one with 4.11 gears from an automatic. I know the bone yards around me have been stripped clean of D44s.
