rear seat coverage

Hi everyone, first introductions. I am Karen .... I have had wranglers all my life, first was the cj7 1979 lifted! then I bought a 1990 TJ now I have a 2000 TJ. I also now have a 16 month who rides in the back in his carseat. I prefer being without the top during summer months, it's a hard top. I do have all the original hardware for a soft top if I do end up buying one.
okay my question is this, is there a covering for the back seat area? one to protect the small child but still allowing the front seat people to enjoy open air, wind and fun? I have been looking and when I go to jeep shops, they dont seem to understand what I am asking for. I would love any suggestions or ideas but please if all you have is smart remark - I am sure I have already heard it. Thanks

the closest thing I have seen is a sun rider soft top from best top. it allows you to take the front section off much like the newer JKs

How about a OE sunrider top? They came stock on 06 TJs. I have one on my 03 and I love it!

I have Bestop safari top for my 2000 and it works great to keep the sun off everyone but if it rains it will funnel the rainwater right down the middle into the backseat.
