rear seat lap belt installation

Hey,

I'm new, so I apologize in advance if this question was asked before:

How do I install the rear lap seat belt (installing full assembly) with the existing striker plate?

My jeep never had a rear seat or belts, so I have been doing this myself. I got the rear seat belt assembly but it has no directions and my Chilton manual doesn't either. I'm sure I have all the supplies I need (and yes, I googled for images as well).

thanks!

Are there any pics of the floor-attached rear seat belts (female)?

Your jeep should have the bolt holes already, 3 on the floor and 2 on the roll bar.
One in the center of the floor is for the females, outer two are for the lap belt, and roll bar ones are for the shoulder belts.

If you are installing belts don't skip the shoulder harness part. Just installing lap belts can open you up to a lawsuit if someone gets hurt in the back seat because you didn't install em.

Got it, thanks. I am installing the entire 3-point seat belt assembly but doubted if a single bolt in the center of the floor was strong enough to stabilize 2 lap belts and the striker plate for the seat. Obviously I have washers, but I'm not seeing how I could utilize the round reinforcer plates (which I understand very few ppl use).

Done.

Have to find a mean-girl friend to be my test for the lap belts.

I am looking for rear seatbelts and hardware to attach to rollbar and floor any information on where I can purchase items? Also rear seat front support brackets are missing. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a link to the 1997 - 2005 Jeep Wrangler seat belts by Andover (after market): Seat Belts For 1997-2005 Jeep CJ And Wranglers-Andover Restraints.Com

There are many after market sites to purchase seat belts from. If you are missing bolts, Andover sells those too. I am pleased so far.

Hope that helps!
