rear seat latch broke

my rear seat latch is not working the pasenger side cable broke and will not let me fould up the seat. does anyone know how to get it open. i need to take it out to monstaline my tub. also it is a 2005

Ive got a 99 which has just the metal latch for the rear seat so im not sure what your setup is but see if you can see the mechanism you might be able to get it with a screw driver.

Same thing happened to my 06. Best I can remember I loosened the seat cover and was able to get either my hand or a screwdriver in there to pull the latch up. The cable that runs from the handle to the latch is most likely broke. I replaced my cable with some I got at Lowes.

Look under the front of the seat towards the driver's side and you will see a black latch that makes the seat tumble even if the cable is broken. Cable is easy and cheap to fix with just bicycle parts.

i got it out. ended up taking the upper seat cover off down to the foam. found where the cable ran to and released it. now i just have to fix the cable befor i put it back in
