Rear seats on an 02 TJ do they fold?

Just trying to figure out if the backseats in my tj fold down......i've been looking everywhere can't seem to find a lever if it does. I have a metal privacy cover in the rear cargo area so that might be blocking it?

Its on the left if your looking at the seat from the rear. There is a gap about 4" wide, slide your hand down and you'll find the lever.

Yep, where the top meets the bottom... on the drivers side.

Is he wanting it to fold down or up? Maybe it's just a perspective. folding down I was thinking would make the seat flat, in which case it wont do. folding up to me means what ya'll just described. kinda like my seats in my van will fold down flat and fold up for storage.

Are the 02's different from other TJs? I have an 02 but the seat has never been in it since I purchased it in May. In fact, I am looking to buy the mounting hardware for it this week so I guess I need to know if there is something unique I need to look for.

Thanks!

Once you use that level to fold the seat back forward, then you can just lift the bottom of the seat itself and the whole seat flips up behind the front seats, to allow cargo room without the hassle of taking the entire seat out. 3 second fix for quick storage!

97-02 rear seats and floor hardware are different from 03-06. You can install either but you need the floor hardware that goes with the seats.

Wasn't the fold and tumble rear seat an option?
